Copywriter - Mid Level (or Sr.)

Our client, an innovative Corporate Communications group at a growing F500 company, has an opening for an experienced Copywriter with strong corporate writing and proofreading skills. The candidate will be responsible for working in a fast paced environment with a creative and marketing team in a financial services environment. Strong client services skills are important as well as having a positive, collaborative and pro-active approach to work. The person that thrives here is a go-getter willing to work on anything that comes your way and manage multiple projects.

Length: 6 months - 1 year+*
Location: San Francisco - downtown
Pay: 65K-75K+ DOE (W2 with benefits)
*contract has potential for extension or conversion to full time

Preferred industry experience: Varied but luxury goods or writing for an affluent audience is helpful.
Writing deliverables: print and digital - email, presentations, proposals, websites

Responsibilities:
-Become expert in brand voice and style
-Develop strong understanding of product offerings and partner with departments to translate product offerings into content for various mediums
-Translate financial, legal or technical terminology into clear, conversational language
-Create intelligent, original and effective copy to drive brand awareness, growth and engagement across multiple channels
-Work directly with Marketing Communications team to create, proofread and edit content for the web and print, including brochures, letters, flyers, promotions, email templates, presentations, proposals and website pages
-Work closely with Compliance Team to approve final versions and designers and external vendors to make content come to life
-Deliver consistent, accurate and high-quality content
-Wear various ‘marketing hats,’ when needed

Desired Skills and Experience:
-Degree in Communications/Public Relations/Advertising
-Minimum 5-7 years of experience in an internal marketing department or agency required
-Possess a strong command of grammar, spelling and style
-Eye for design/layout/formatting
-Flexible and adaptive to changing priorities
-Accountable for meeting tight deadlines and possess a sense of urgency
-Other important characteristics include a strong work ethic, self-starter, strong attention to detail, creative and a team player to ensure positive fit with company culture
-Must have strong verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills
