Copy Writer - Medical Device

This position will be part of the Global Marketing Communications Team and serve a critical role in supporting marketing quality and effectiveness across the company . This
role’s primary function will be interpret, create and/or edit written marketing material primarily for customer facing documents.


-Write clear and persuasive copy for press releases, ads, brochures, letters, website, etc.

-Edit, improve and review existing product content (both scientific and non-scientific)

-Help clients articulate what makes the products differentiated and appealing to the customer.

-Work closely with global and regional marketing, legal and regulatory to ensure content is
accurately portrayed and follow all regulations

-Explore different ideas and concepts for verbal elements in tandem with the creative and
marketing team – designers, printers and vendors

-Work with the broader editorial team to help craft product style guide for categories of products

-Helps review documents related to external communications to ensure appropriate
presentation of data, methodology and interpretation

-Provide suggestions on the best way to communicate information to the relevant audience

-Ability to prepare scientific presentations and publications; ability to tailor presentation format
and content to specific needs of topic and/or audience


-Bachelor’s degree

-3+ years of copywriting experience

-Impeccable writing, grammar and editing skills

-Strong publications experience

-Excellent interview skills

-In-depth knowledge of AP writing style

-Technically proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

-Verifiable track record of success


-Experience in IVD, Medical Device or related industry.


-Ability to work within a team and form productive working relationships within and external to
the communications department

-Self-starter who has the ability to manage multiple responsibilities at one time with minimal

-The know-how to manage and lead projects to deadlines, both cross-functionally and with
external key opinion leaders, without direct authority

-Flexibility and ability to manage simultaneous priorities and execute tasks and meet deadlines
in a fast paced environment

-Ability to work independently while staying aligned with functional team

-Must have excellent listening skills
