Our client is looking for an enthusiastic, organized, detail-oriented copyeditor to help support our site merchandising teams in creating a "best of breed" online shopping experience. To this end, the successful candidate will work with site merchandisers to copyedit various forms of website content before it is published, understand legal ramifications of proposed site messaging, and identify and perform other tasks as needed to ensure consistent and accurate messaging across various product lines. As copyeditor, this person will suggest, carry out, and verify changes in website content before it is published, working within a single-pass copyedit system. He or she will fill in for and rotate certain copyediting duties with other teams' copyeditors as needed.

Qualifications
Technical requirements include superb copyediting skills (measured by our client's copyediting test) and the ability to learn our in-house tools quickly, as they are used for virtually all copyediting work. The copyeditor will be detail oriented and extremely organized; capable of handling multiple projects at once; able to take direction; professional, creative, and diplomatic; comfortable working with outside teams and management; and thick skinned and have a sense of humor. Besides having first-class written and verbal communication skills, this copyeditor will be able to ruthlessly prioritize to meet deadlines, manage expectations and dependencies, and juggle multiple projects. The ideal candidate will have a healthy appetite for online publishing; will be innovative, internally motivated, and self-directed; and will be willing to help site merchandisers transform business objectives into rapidly and flawlessly executed topnotch online merchandising.

Basic Qualifications
- HTML knowledge
- Excel knowledge
- BA English Language Literature

Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of Photoshop or alternate photo editing software
- Working knowledge of XML or alternate web publishing code
