This is a 6mo contract position with company, CreateSpace in Charleston, South Carolina (not Charlotte, NC). This position has the potential to extend and/or become permanent. It pays $14/hr + benefits. In total, we are looking to fill 3 positions.

Our client is a leader in manufacture on-demand self publishing services for authors, musicians, filmmakers, publishers, film studios, and music labels. They are looking for a dynamic, organized individual to join their Services team as a Conversion Specialist in Charleston, SC. (This is an onsite position; relocation pay is not offered)

Position Overview
This position reports to the Publisher Account Manager. A Conversion Specialist is an essential team member who helps to create and ensure the best experience for our readers—across all genres, devices, and reading mediums. We work with with multiple vendors to convert and modify files for both print and digital books.

Job Responsibilities:
· Provide impeccable customer service to our clients.
· Prepare and proofread book files to ensure they meet the proper specifications before conversion.
· Review modified and converted titles efficiently for quality, ensuring that all deadlines are met and the converted books meet our high-quality bar.
· Work cross-functionally to provide consistent, proactive communication and guidance to our customers and vendors with a focus on monitoring the work in process and guaranteeing our service promises. This includes reviewing and routing incoming titles and files to the appropriate vendor for conversion and modification or modifying the book files when complexity or timelines dictate.
· Troubleshoot projects with file or conversion issues within CreateSpace, Kindle Direct Publishing, and Amazon systems.
· Help to establish and improve process and quality guidelines to confirm that our conversion quality bars are consistent by identifying trends and actively seeking solutions to improve efficiency.
· Maintain meticulous reporting and tracking, and present findings to internal and external stakeholders.
· Maintain documentation and drive Standard Operating Procedures.
· Lead and participate in Kaizen activities to improve internal processes and the publisher experience.
· Manage or attend meetings that fulfill the daily and long-term needs of the business.
· Fulfill additional objectives requested by the Publisher Account Manager.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Two years of experience in customer relations
- Experience working with high-volume processes
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Attention to detail and an eye for quality
- Proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience using Pitstop and Quite Imposing software
- Aptitude to quickly learn new systems and software
- Previous QA Experience
- Proficient in Adobe’s Creative Suite
- Experience working with digital text (e.g., website editing or design, digital content, digitization, etc) strongly desired, including familiarity with HTML, CSS and other digital text code
- Ability to work with technical and non-technical business owners to achieve results.
