Contract-to-Hire Marketing Graphic Designer

A valued and growing financial service & investment client in NYC needs a very polished and professional Graphic Designer for the execution and delivery of branded materials and ongoing maintenance of pitch books, marketing collateral, branding, marketing and communications initiatives. The successful candidate has strong communication and organizational skills and is comfortable multi-tasking and working in a fast-paced environment. The candidate must be creative, with strong production skills and an eye for detail. This is a hands-on position for an energetic self-starter.

Roles and Responsibilities:
• Ability to conceptualize, design, edit, revise, execute and deliver a range of projects in support of Investment teams and Business Developers
• Establish a deep understanding of the investment offerings and brand guidelines, knowing when to adhere to guidelines and when to be flexible to interpret/enhance/evolve the brand to solve for design challenges/opportunities
• Help reformat, lay out, and proofread client and internal presentations in PowerPoint accurately and in a timely manner
• Contributing ideas and design layouts for print presentations, fact sheets, fund letters, and other marketing collateral
• Assist in branding and marketing campaigns
• Ability to troubleshoot projects including but not limited to Microsoft office suite, InDesign documents and offer alternative, relevant and innovative solutions
• Establish strong partnerships with internal and external colleagues across multiple lines of business
• Responsible for preparation of time-sensitive, recurring publications, requiring quick turnaround, trouble shooting and an eye for detail
• Help update existing collateral and sales support material on a quarterly/monthly/ad hoc basis.

Qualifications:
• 4 Year Degree, experienced Designer with 5+ years of experience concepting, designing and producing effective sales and marketing materials.
• Financial services industry experience; astute familiarity with institutional investment management products and sales processes.
• Ability to quickly grow into manager/supervisory role if required.
• Highly sophisticated with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
• Strong knowledge of InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator. HTML and Dreamweaver a plus
• A self-driven, quick learner, with the ability to take initiative and multi-task under tight deadlines with ample autonomy
• Exceptional communications skills to collaborate with internal and external business partners at all levels.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work comfortably in the corporate working environment.
• Commitment to furthering skills and continuing education.
