Contract Administrator

Our client, a large Entertainment company is looking for a temporary Contract Administrator to cover during a leave of absence for 4 months.

Primary Duties shall include the following:
* Maintaining and electronically distributing the Development Report database on a weekly basis
* Responsible for the following with respect to single assignment hires on productions and in development:
* Verification of employment eligibility through I-9 process and other set up paperwork, including tax paperwork, which includes meeting with hires to complete applicable paperwork
* Setting up and processing payments through the SAP Accounts Payable system, as well as through Sargent Disc, paying agent for foreign payments
* Setting up vendors in Accounts Payable system
* Scanning executed contracts in the online system
* Preparing payment vouchers (FilemakerPro) to the studio payroll department
* Preparing cover letters to accompany payments
* Responsible for preparing bonus memos and handling all phases of payments for bonuses for personal services agreement and also for payments with respect to rights, including episodic royalties and bonuses, option payments, purchase prices for properties optioned, signing bonuses
* Filing items daily

Secondary Duties shall include the following:
* Working with Executive Director of Business Affairs to track Passed Projects in the Development and Tracking reports.
* Work with business affairs executives and executives in HR, finance, production and creative to handle research requests as needed.
* Working with Business Affairs executives to track options for properties, which includes:
o Maintaining and updating option dates tracking report through Outlook
o Maintaining and updating, electronically, option tracking system
o Preparing and sending notices to creative, production and business affairs executives advising of upcoming option expiration dates, and following through on responses to ensure options are timely exercised and paid

Business skills:
* Expert - Analyzing contracts (review requested data and provide information/analysis to requester; determine start and end of contracts/windows as needed); Paralegal or Contract Administration experience; Comprehension; Project Management.
* Intermediate/Expert - Client Management
* Intermediate - Knowledge of television production/acquisitions and terminology; Strategic thinking
* Excellent typing skills
* Excellent organizational skills
* Excellent filing skills
