POSITION OVERVIEW

The Content Writer/Strategist- Social Media Specialist will support Financial Services company Digital Marketing by creating proprietary, organic content, curating third party content and developing foundational strategies for key elements within the firm’s Digital Platform. The primary audience for all content will be the firm’s direct distribution channel, with the potential to influence the broker and group channels.

RESPONSIBILITIES
This role is primarily focused in two areas:
Developing sound strategies for foundational programs within the firm’s Digital Platform (30%):
• Evaluate existing programs that make up the firm’s offering for its local affiliates.
• Determine programs required in order to support the development of a sound ecosystem by all major, local affiliates. Possible pilot with 2-4 large agencies in order to demonstrate opportunity.
• Foundational programs include the Agency Website program and likely some form of automated marketing program targeting enhanced lead generation.

Develop strong, organic and third party digital content (70%):
• Lead the writing and development of organic content for digital platforms, including web content, whitepapers, infographics, graphics, articles, etc.
• Lead the curation of third party content for various media platforms.
• Work with the various lines of business in order to elevate their content across digital media.
• Secure content approval from the Compliance area when necessary and track approvals.
• Help organize and maintain the social media content library.
• Help develop monthly metrics report for senior leadership.

QUALIFICATIONS and COMPETENCIES
• Demonstrated expertise and experience in the Digital Marketing space
• Demonstrated leader comfortable with individual contributor role but interested in growing to manage a large team of marketing specialists
• Team player
• Excellent written and verbal skills
• Detail-oriented, resourceful, models behavior that reinforces sound strategic thinking
• Skilled problem solver
• Self starter who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, matrixed environment
