Content Writer/Editor (SF)*

Are you passionate about turning business and technical information into engaging storytelling? Our SF-based Client is looking for a highly motivated person to join their Marketing team as a Marketing Writer. 

In this role, you will be responsible for both content generation and editing, including corporate and product collateral (e-books, white papers, info-graphics, etc.), customer content and presentations. You will use your creative storytelling skills to communicate our client's story, in our client's voice, to a variety of audiences. The right candidate will be able to support multiple projects, on varying deadlines, while being thoughtful about incorporating our client's messaging and voice into content.

This position requires both hands-on editing and writing, collaborating with our client's teams across varying technical levels, and the ability to juggle priorities to meet deadlines. 

  • The Marketing Writer will be based at the San Francisco HQ location.
  • This position will report into the Project Manager of Content Marketing.

Day to-Day Responsibilities: 

  • Edit and write externally facing marketing collateral

  • Consistently meet expectations and deadlines

  • Experience short-form writing for the web and SEO strategy

  • Possess a strong dedication to customer service

  • Collaborate with various teams and drive projects forward

  • Partner with product and solutions marketing teams to craft content that conveys our client's voice and value

  • Write and develop content from concept to final draft

  • Incorporate cohesive messaging and voice across content

  • Tell a compelling story about deep technical products


  • 3-5 years of experience working in technology marketing or journalism, preferably software

  • College degree in Marketing, Journalism, English, Business or related field

  • Content development experience, including sample work

  • Organized and articulate, with impeccable attention to detail

  • Track record of high performance while working on a productive team in a fast-growing company

  • Strong written and presentation skills

  • Demonstrated ability to handle a significant workload, prioritize and meet deadlines

  • Skilled in PowerPoint, Google Docs, and working with style guides

  • Track record of high performance working on a high productivity team in a fast-growing company

  • Experience simplifying complex technical concepts to multiple constituents

  • Demonstrated ability to manage a significant workload with multiple deadlines and priorities

  • Interpersonal skills to support key stakeholders, including executives, product marketing and product managers, as well as third parties such as contractors and partners
