In this role, you will research, write, and track content to be used for Local Guides videos, blog posts, lists, and other projects. This includes fun, shareable headlines and descriptions, text for on-screen video graphics, and global and regional travel lists to be shared on social. You’ll have the opportunity to work with a dynamic team of producers, program managers, content strategists, and marketing people. Therefore, the range and deadlines of your assignments varies greatly. You must be able to produce and track informative, accurate and lively content in a timely fashion, often at a moment's notice. The role demands attention to detail and grammar, as well as an understanding of what makes stories pop on social media.

Top 3 Daily Responsibilities:
- Maintaining the Local Guides editorial calendar
- Writing quick copy, including headlines and descriptions
- Researching topics for videos, lists, and blog posts for the Local Guides Connect forum
- Creating lists and tracking submissions from Local Guides

Required Skills
- BS/BA Degree - Manager is open to area of study
- 2-5 years experience in digital publishing and editing (Manager will look at previous internship experience)
- Top-notch writing and editing skills with an ability to write in a fun style
- Strong research and project management skills
- Must be able to deliver content in a timely manner and hit weekly targets
- Must have an understanding of editorial processes and/or technical ability to operate in a content management system (CMS: inputting content and publishing online)
- Prior experience writing or editing travel + lifestyle content for social media preferred

Nice to have
- Forum experience
- Keen eye for photo quality
- Photo Editing experience a plus
