The Sr. Copywriter of digital content is a critical role in making our client one of the most engaging, thoughtful and innovative digital Brands in the world by leading the tone and voice development to create best-in-class content and experiences within our digital and social media practice.

The person in this position possesses an understanding of creative campaign development, but doesn’t think in terms of ads—but in terms of engagement. They understand what it takes to extend a Brand digitally in a way that is additive, not redundant to the offline experience.

Key Responsibilities

A Sr. Copywriter on the Global Digital Marketing team is the keeper of the voice in regard to digital expression. This critical role makes our client one of the most engaging, thoughtful and innovative digital Brands in the world. This role is responsible for bringing the tone and voice of the client Brand (with occasional contribution to other client Brands) to life across digital channels.

Summary of Key Responsibilities

Crafting, updating, and maintaining voice and expression across mobile apps, eCommerce, websites, emails, social channels, environmental/exibition design and future digital properties
Ability and experience working closely with designers, as well as community management team to both ideate and craft content across channels
Work with strategic planner and other creative team members to concept, develop and produce brand stories
Ensures that work adheres to brand and channel guidelines, is on trend and relevant to the market
Deliver assets, files, coding documents, etc to appropriate cross-functional partners or agencies at the right times
Contributes to building and maintaining a strong team-oriented environment

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

Business
Demonstrated ability to promote and present creative initiatives to internal stakeholders
Assume ownership of projects by working with less supervision when necessary to lead creative development through concept, presentation, and execution phases.
Proven ability to extend offline creative into the online space in a way that is additive versus redundant.
Understanding of how to write against an SEO strategy.





Ideas

Writes clear, persuasive, original copy within an allotted time frame and budget for various digital channels.
Creative thought partner with a demonstrated ability to brainstorm unique, engaging and relevant digital/social ideas and work with the appropriate parties to execute them.
Create engagement ideas and executions in support of our promotions and storytelling across paid, owned and earned platforms.
Excellent conceptual experience, abilities with strong proven strategic and brand development capabilities.
Ability to conduct independent project, channel, and product research from a qualitative creative and brand perspective.
Ensure a consistent brand presence is maintained across all media.

Qualifications

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
4-7 years copywriting experience at agency or in-house creative team with digital agency experience preferred
Digitally-savvy with an passion for the latest news, events, products and trends specifically as it pertains to for content and copy for digital marketing
Portfolio of work that demonstrates conceptual and functional writing chops
Work independently and as part of a team
Motivated, energetic self-starter with strong problem solving skills
Energized by working in a fast paced organization
Track record of exceeding expectations and delivering on-time
Ability to conceptualize, develop ideas and messages around business and marketing objectives and apply strategic thinking to creative problems
Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines, to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
Strong grasp of language rules, specifically grammar usage, spelling and punctuation
Attention to detail

Business Challenge: Looking for a strong Sr. Writer to be a key, individual contributor in bringing our Client Roastery digital content to life.This roll will be focused on collaborating across in-house teams and agency partners to source, create, edit and augment content to live in built environments, mobile experiences and traditional websites.

Nice to Haves: Digitally-savvy with an passion for the latest news, events, products and trends specifically as it pertains to for content and copy for digital marketing (this is a global product so knowledge of current events will be important)
