Our client, a Fortune 500 creative design software client, is looking for a Channel Content Writer & Specialist in Silicon Valley.

This role is part of the creative strategy & services team. The content strategist will manage and develop content & deliverables aimed at our Channel partners’ audience, who form a critical component in driving revenue and software sales. This content spans print and digital mediums and includes deliverables such as white papers, data sheets, brochures, sales enablement/marketing deliverables and web pages for channel portal. We are looking for someone who is a great content lead & communicator, energetic and savvy at handling multiple groups of internal stakeholders along with guiding the larger team with vision as well as tactical implementation and high quality deliverables. Looking for a strong leader who can work closely with vendors/agencies and direct interaction design, visual design and technology to translate ideas and concepts to achieve business goals. This person will need to be strategic in understanding our channel requirements and the profile of our audience and deliver value with those projects. Also, this person will manage end to end production of content, including concepting, writing and editing much of the content themself. Our ideal Senior Content Strategist will pushes beyond cookie cutter solutions to create innovative content experiences for users while factoring in internal capabilities.

Responsibilities & duties
• Manage end to end production and execution of digital assets including: conceptualization, writing (outlines, final copy), editing, art direction, developing production schedule, managing review cycles, and developing post launch metrics
• Assess business goals, user needs, content requirements, and content sources.
• Work closely with product marketing, channel marketing and channel sales to translate business goals into meaningful content that helps achieve strategic objectives.
• Write and manage writers, design and external vendors/freelancers for content development.
• Build presentations and other communication vehicles to distribute content information
• Guide internal stakeholders in developing new content and optimizing legacy content. Participate in content planning process quarterly.
• Work effectively as part of a collaborative, cross-functional team

Skills and experience
• Proven skill managing content projects, multiple priorities, and workload. (moved to skills and experience)
• Substantial experience (7+ years) writing and editing for print media and familiarity with print technologies.
• At least 5 years of experience developing and executing content strategy, sales enablement in a B2B environment.
• Familiarity working with channel /indirect sales content. Understanding of sales organization valued.
• Experience with user flow, user interaction and content organization preferred.
• Appreciation for design and an aptitude for visual solutions valued.
• Self-motivated, organized, and functions well without too much guidance.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
• Graduate degree in Business, Marketing, English, Journalism, Media Studies, or related field.

• This is a long term contract (up to 1 yr), full-time, W-2 contract position located in San Jose, CA
