Content Strategist, Governance and Structure

The Sr. Content Strategist, Structure and Governance will contribute to the cross-platform delivery of that awesome experience by:
• helping to evolve the underlying content strategy models and taxonomies
• improving and innovating the content framework and structure for all our platforms
• solving and anticipating usability issues throughout the content ecosystem
• working towards a holistic content experience across all platforms
• creating the content strategy branch of DMGs global style library
• keeping abreast of developing technologies

The ideal candidate will love organizing things into buckets but will be able to keep track of how that affects and evolves the client ecosystem. Reporting to the Director of Digital Content Strategy, this role will collaborate and partner closely with the Product Development and Marketing Teams within the Digital Media Group.

Job Responsibilities
• Be the Director of Content Strategy’s right-hand pal and lead in the discovery process on product and content development initiatives
• Manage and evolve the content and marketing research roadmap
• Own and influence the development of site nomenclature, taxonomies and content structure hierarchies across all platforms
• Make recommendations for messaging and create editorial styleguides and content processes
• Accurately scope projects, develop documentation that communicates the user experience, business strategy and best practices
• Oversee complex sitewide content projects
• Lead CMS framework changes in development projects
• Build and coordinate a shared vision with multiple departments across organizations (including IT and business sponsors) to gain support for strategic initiatives and balance the needs of multiple stakeholders
• Closely collaborate with interaction designers, product strategists, developers and visual designers to create innovative content solutions
• Own content audit, mapping and requirements roadmap and direct core team in execution
• Audit and analyze content in order to make informed strategic recommendations

Skills and Qualifications
• Prior experience (4-6 years) as a digital content strategist or directly related experience
• Excellent verbal/written communication and presentation skills including the ability to provide guidance to highly technical professionals, creative professionals and executive management
• Strong organizational and project management skills with experience managing multiple projects with competing priorities
• Strong ability to assess, catalogue, and organize web site content
• Experience with both Agile and Waterfall development environments 
• Appreciation for design and an aptitude for user experience
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required
• Sense of humor a must (Being geeky also a plus)
