AQUENT is seeking a Content Strategist for an exciting opportunity!

A day in the life will include:
Manage master editorial content calendar across a variety of digital and social channels
•Leverage digital content management platforms to brief journalistic contributors and coordinate development of content for WordPress blog
•With the assistance of research experts, mine primary and secondary research to develop content ideas on small business growth
•Using template, develops content briefs for all types of content, including video, blog articles and infographics, as needed within master content strategy
•May manage relationship with one or more external content agencies or freelancers
•Develop intent for and leads briefings of creative teams for production of social content (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn) and Native Digital Content through major small business publishing content partners (e.g. Inc., Forbes, Fast Company, Mashable.)
•Develop and execute content strategies to support brand sponsored events that have content objectives (i.e. key sponsorships and newsworthy development events)
•Ensure all content complies with standards, permissions and legal approval is secured before publishing
•Initiate recommendations to improve routing and creative process and ways of improving the overall efficiencies
•Promote quality and consistency across all Newsroom-managed content channels
•Work closely with internal lines of business to support product and messaging campaigns as appropriate within the content strategy

Requirements:
•4-year degree in Marketing Strategy, Communications, Journalism or Business.
•5+years experience in a related professional role, preferably in a content marketing agency or digital publishing environment
•Preferred: 2+ years Digital, Social Media, and/or content marketing experience
•Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agency environment managing multiple projects for multiple customers/accounts
•Confident in leading marketing projects for multiple clients
•Proven ability to quickly ramp up on expectations of client
•Actively researches, learns and incorporates new means and methods whenever and wherever possible to improve processes
•WordPress, Content Management Systems, and or other Brand Newsroom Experience Desirable
