Content Strategist

Major agency client is looking to bring on a Content Strategist to help define the content needs of websites, email programs and applications. In this role you will work closely with the client to ensure the necessary content is sourced or generated. The Content Strategist is also responsible for running the editorial briefing process and identifying social influencers and key contributors of content. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in social media and a wish to evolve to a broader editorial strategy role, aligning content strategy across channels so that the entire team is working towards a unified experience.

Responsibilities:
• Architect & execute editorial content strategies across web, apps, email & social channels
• Content gap analysis, identify new content needs based on user needs and brand strategy
• Use social intelligence and content analytics to inform future topics and optimize engagement
• Develop strategies across multiple verticals such as CPG, financial services, and Technology
• Contribute meaningfully to the ideation and conceptualization of marketing and content ideas
• Develop influencer identification & activation programs
• Create taxonomies and work with the the analytics team to build metadata frameworks for grouping and tagging content
• Manage workflow efficiently and take responsibility for timing and delivery
• Be able to be self-directed in developing great work within guidelines and budget
• Work collaboratively with creative partners, other members of creative and core departments

Requirements:
• 3-5 years of Social & Content Strategy experience
• Experience in executing editorial content strategies across social & web channels
• Expertise of social channels and emerging techniques for engaging consumers through content
• Know how to build and execute editorial plans
• Creatively minded; Effective moderator
• Appreciation for analytical and research data, and its role in communications design
• Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
• Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, media, business or related field
• Experience with content curation platforms (i.e.: Scoopit, Curata, Publishthis), Social media management platform (i.e.: Sprinklr, Hootsuite), social listening (Netbase, Sysomos) and
• Experience with SEO best practices is not mandatory, but is a plus
