Content Strategist

Our client, a major player in the technology and engineering sectors is looking for a seasoned Corporate Content Strategist. This candidate must understand the role of content and the intersection of paid, earned, and owned media. They must posses the ability to work cross-functionally to gain alignment as well as be comfortable paving their own way to achieve goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Work with web, advertising and social leads (global and regional) in shaping overall content strategy.
• Serve as strategic counsel to our campaigns focusing on external channels.
• Work collaboratively with internal account managers and integrated media teams to develop integrated marketing strategies.
• Work closely with and support the integrated media teams, campaign teams and partner agencies to create and implement their vision and strategy for the brand.
• Influence message development process.
• Work with the internal Content team to develop high-level messaging and content that ensures overall message and keyword consistency.
• Drive cross-company coordinated content to move away from narrow product stories to a holistic narrative.
• Work with agency partners, creative leads, and campaign managers to prioritize, define keywords, messages and content themes.
• Present and roll out high-level content, messaging and keywords to medias and campaign teams.
• Oversee development of SEO/SEM strategy. (This role will not execute but recommend strategies and lobby for correct implementation.)
• Act as an input in regards to how web and advertising (global and regional) will test and report SEO and SEM metrics.
• Drive modification of high-level messaging and keywords as data and testing provide additional insight.
• Input when working on localization and with regional agencies for content translation and prioritization within regions.
• Keep abreast of industry news, technologies, trends and opportunities, piloting and implementing emerging trends for brands.
