Content Strategist

Vitamin T has a very exciting contract to hire opportunity. This position is located onsite in Seattle with some occasional travel to the Kitsap County office.

The Content Strategist (CS) contributes to the development of a content strategy practice and executes best of class content strategy projects for the organizations that our client serves. The CS collaborates closely with team members from client services, creative, innovation, strategy, and analytics, as well as the client, to define content and messaging needs, and develop content solutions for digital projects, campaigns and other projects.

The Content Strategist works with the Lead Content Strategist to develop content requirements and create content strategy deliverables (content audit, gap analyses, style guides, content plans, etc.) for major content projects, and for inbound/content marketing efforts. The CS will work primarily in digital channels but will also be responsible for developing integrated content solutions.

Primary Responsibilities:
● Developing and defining content strategies based on client business objectives and user needs
● Developing innovative solutions for content presentation, content management, workflow, and maintenance that lead to prototyping and implementation
● Developing content/inbound marketing strategies for clients
● Executing best of class content strategy projects (defining requirements and creating deliverables across the entire content lifecycle) by:
● Conducting content audits
● Determining projects’ overall content requirements and potential content sources
● Developing guidelines for the editorial tone, style, and voice for brands, campaigns, and websites
● Working with client to enhance, edit and reformat legacy and newly created content
● Creating taxonomies and metadata frameworks for grouping and tagging content and adaptive content
● Ensuring content conforms to Search Engine Optimization best practices
● Developing content matrices and mapping documentation for new and redesigned sites
● Planning content and overseeing it’s development (collaborating with copywriters) on client content projects
● Overseeing content migrations and preparing documentation to do so

Work Experience:
● 3 years experience in creating/writing content for Web, content strategy, or other digital media
● Experience in content strategy across the entire web development process
● Previous experience in print or other traditional media preferred

Educational Requirements:
● Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred
