Content Strategist

Our client is looking for an experienced Content Strategist to play a key role in developing great user experience on their large-scale B2C websites. This position is a 18 month contract position located onsite in Charlotte, NC.

In this role, you would be part of a team and contribute by:
-Producing and presenting sales and brand-relevant content strategies and copy.
-Providing content strategy on both large projects and ongoing maintenance on existing sites.
-Working independently and cross-functionally with Interaction and Visual Designers, Product and Project Managers.
-Working closely with business partners to consult on long-term and short-term online content strategies.
-Working strategically (leading discussions with the design teams and facilitating sessions with executives) and tactically (editing copy) in the details.

Our client is looking for someone who has experience in:
-Writing and strategizing according to user-centric standards.
-Understanding business and technical requirements.
-Inventorying and analyzing existing content as well as editing and proofing.
-Developing and modifying standards and guidelines.

Other qualifications needed are:
-3-5 years experience working in interactive design environments as content strategist, copywriter or related position.
-Deep familiarity with user-centered design principles.
-Superb communication skills in group settings.
-Demonstrated ability to define “content strategy” succinctly and be able to present it.
-Experience creating content strategies and writing copy for public-facing websites of Fortune 500 companies.

Other qualifications desired are:
-Experience working in the financial services industry.
-Experience writing content for mobile devices, or deep familiarity with using mobile devices.
-Basic understanding of templated systems and content management systems.
