Our agency clients is looking for a Content Strategist to join their strategy team. 

This is full time, 40 hours a week, on-site in River North

 

The Strategy team is made up of brand marketers with digital specialty acting as trusted advisors to their clients. Understanding their businesses, brands and audiences to find articulate market
differentiators.
As the content strategist, you’ll work with designers and project managers, and be responsible for executing your ideas—in other words, you should be as happy (and confident) consulting, writing
and editing as you are thinking, planning, and researching.

The purpose of this role in the Strategy team is to…
 Be a key part of the team that delivers highly effective work that wins—we partner with this
client on some of their largest projects
 Help the client and the teams they work with simplify (sometimes very) complex information
 Work closely with the team to turn that understanding into a wide variety of deliverables that
will work for the particular project
 Use research to understand markets, audiences and brands—finding key insights that
inspire great work and drive better business decisions
 Work closely with teams to co-create original and bid-winning ideas
 Guide and facilitate thinking, presenting concepts to clients with power and confidence in the
ability to tie the ideas back to industry challenges, the deal at hand and other learnings from
team meetings
 Become a trusted advisor for the client, providing counsel through thoughtful conversations
that foster long-term partnerships


Required skills
In addition to strong brand marketing expertise and proficiency, you’ll have experience and expertise across some or all of these different disciplines.
 Messaging
 Content creation (decks, infographics, scripts, etc.)
 Brand strategy
 New business development
 The B2B buyer’s journey
 Content strategy

Must-Haves
 At least 6-8 years of agency experience, with a demonstrated love for connecting with
clients, presenting ideas and pitching new business
 Proficiency in real-time idea generation and consultative workshop facilitation to draw out
client objectives, challenges, opportunities and key themes
 Outstanding communication and presentation skills
 Developing and executing innovative and/or experiential strategic approaches that are most
effective and valuable for a specific situation
 Relentless eye for detail and ability to get your head stuck in specifics, then step back and
see the big picture
 Continuous curiosity about brand, marketing, technology, and consumer trends that keep
you, the client and the agency at the forefront of digital communications
 Sharing work and ideas amongst the team and partnering with others—because you truly
believe in the power of collaboration and that others can improve your work
 Ability to hit the ground running in a busy, deadline-driven culture while still remaining poised
and adaptable
 Comfortable with occasional travel
 Advising, mentoring and providing support for junior members of the team while also
embracing and pursuing continual learning and growth for yourself
