Content Strategist

Seeking a content strategist to develop a content strategy based on team’s objectives and their user’s needs.

 

Key tasks: 

  • Overseeing content requirements for a weekly newsletter, and developing a strategy for development and delivery of the newsletter across platforms, including mobile. 
  • Conducting content audits (qualitative analyses of content) as well as gap analyses 
  • Developing a strategy for keeping evolving content evergreen. 

 

Project Details
Project #1

  • Review current process with key stakeholders. 
  • Evaluate possible development platforms. 
  • Develop a criteria-based assessment of content development platforms that is a quantitative assessment of the platform in terms of sustainability, maintainability, and usability. This can inform high-level decisions on specific areas for delivery platform improvement. The criteria-based assessment will provide a measurement of quality in a number of areas. 
  • Document pros and cons of each development platform evaluated, including cost and stack rank. 
  • Provide recommendation for content publishing platform with accompanying justification for decision. 
  • Provide recommendations for process improvement to increase efficiency in meeting the tight turn-around times required of the weekly newsletter. 
  • Provide weekly status via email or meetings 

 

Project #2: 

  • Review current documentation and onboarding process with key stakeholders. 
  • Evaluate current library of onboarding documentation. 
  • Develop content plan for onboarding documentation, including content to be developed, existing content, and linked content from other organizations. 
  • Determine content delivery mechanism. This could be OneNote, SharePoint, Word, other options, or combination of options. 
  • Determine streamlined process for reviewing content lifecycle and keeping content evergreen. Document and deliver content plan, governance model, and updating process. 
  • Provide weekly status via email or meetings 
     

Requirements
The ideal candidate has a minimum of five (5) years of technical writing experience and two (2) years of content strategy experience. Proven skills at working with competing priorities under tight deadlines.

**Work is primarily remote, with meetings onsite in Redmond as needed.**
