Content Strategist

As a Content Strategist you will be asked to create smart, relevant and socially connected experiences within a focused but nimble UX team dedicated to creating efficient, effective and delightful product experiences that artfully unify customer needs with business goals.

You will:
• Work collaboratively within an agile product team made up of product managers, engineers, and fellow UXers to deliver world-class product experiences through iterative releases
• Be responsible for the creation, curating and governance of original, licensed, and user-generated content for a range of optimizations and new features of a product or business throughout the entire lifecycle
• Help UX leads, visual and interaction designers, researchers, and Sr. Content Strategists and client-side engineers to optimize the user experience as well as the psychological aspects of the content elements based on usability, intuitiveness, consistency, business metrics, and time to market
• Be accountable to UX product and project teams for integrating original, licensed and user-generated data to create self-improving and increasingly more relevant and personal customer experiences and systems
• Develop and communicate use cases, states and detailed content specifications through both verbal direction as well as physical assets such content matrices, copy style guides, and working within layout comps or lo-fi prototypes
• Assure project content meets standards of quality, measured in terms of usability, intuitiveness, persuasion, consistency, delightfulness, business metrics, and time to market

Requirements:
To be a successful Content Strategist, it is a given that you are good with words, able to create, curate, edit and align information, but you must also be a process-oriented systems thinker with an understanding of content organization as well as the art of persuasion and marketing. You need to be able lean on best practices and standards, but have an interest in experimentation and an eagerness to move quickly.

You must have:
• Knowledge of dynamic content management systems and processes
• Knowledge of communication strategies and the development and maintenance of both structured and unstructured content types
• Basic ability to interpret business objectives and user needs into content success metrics
• Strong experience in writing and revising content and sourcing and aggregating content
• Some experience with social, user-generated, and gamification solutions
• Familiarity with Search Engine Marketing and Optimization strategies
• Solid concepting skills and original thinking with an eye for innovation
• A professional and personal portfolio of useful and delightful content solutions in highly dynamic environments, including use of both structured and unstructured content solutions
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills (but of course)

Experience:
While we recognize that there is not one path to becoming a great Content Strategist, we look for:
• Professional experience with content strategy
• Experience developing content solutions web sites or applications
