Main duties and responsibilities: Web Content Specialist This position is a key support role for the creation, management and governance of our client’s digital properties. As part of a highly versatile team you’ll be charged with the oversight of all aspects of content implementation while keeping true to strategic guidelines and best practices. Predominantly the Web Content Strategist/Specialist is a shepherd that is highly integrated with multiple business units to facilitate timely and qualitative content production. In this capacity you’ll be the final step in the content process and responsible for the publication of collaborative content pieces that are both useful and usable for Sapient clients and web users alike. Responsibilities: • Primarily responsible for content modifications, additions, deletions and implementing approved digital enhancements within Adobe CQ5 content management system • Setup new site pages/sections and campaign landing pages within the web content management system • Maintain metadata and other inputs in the system to optimize search engine results with maintenance of metadata documentation and tracking measures • Continually monitor the website in a proactive manner to ensure that information is accurate, content is current and pages are free of errors • Verify compatibility within all browsers and across mobile devices • Work with content team to test content implementations before a move to production • Keep up to date on all web guidelines and standards. Work with Content Strategists to make certain that proper guidelines are up to date and are followed by all content creators • Respond to client inquiries, comments and suggestions • Manage all workflow requests within approved tracking system • Verify that all content is approved through proper channels and systems prior to posting • Consistently seek out ways to improve the process including new workflow measures, quality standards, tool implementation and resource gathering Qualifications • Must be able to work effectively both as a team member and independently. • Demonstrate ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work with minimal supervision in a team environment • Strong organization skills with emphasis on being conscientious and detail-oriented • Excellent web and computer skills with proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint • Be conversant in web basics including UX, Design, Analytics, Development, CMS and HTML. • Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills in order to effectively communicate with a wide variety of staff regarding the publication of information on the web. • Knowledge of multimedia/creative: e.g., interactive/web content, digital graphics/optimization Key Competencies Leadership • Ability to provide vision and direction for online content approaches that align with industry trends, business goals and user needs • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with internal teams, contractors, agencies, and client stakeholders • Demonstrated ability to manage milestones, mitigate risks, and resolve issues Process Intelligence • Experience with all facets of digital content publishing • Familiarity with content development processes • Knack for juggling several projects, managing time efficiently and prioritizing appropriately Collaboration • Experience working with subject matter experts and content reviewers • Passion for sharing information and helping others be successful • Focused on team success rather than individual success Professionalism • Approachable, respectful, open, transparent and easy to work with; even in stressful situations • Flexible; able to change course when needed • Ability to be self-aware, receive feedback and continually improve • Ability to produce clarity when confronted with unclear situations
