Then we should talk. We are seeking a candidate with a background in content strategy and web production to join our client's expanding Digital Media Group. The Sports and Events Content Strategist will lead and manage the full lifecycle of development and implementation of digital sports marketing campaigns, promotions and content while optimizing the overall digital sports entertainment experience for our client. The ideal candidate will be an avid and knowledgeable sports fan (including UFC, WWE and boxing) and will be responsible for content planning and regular site updates, particularly related to live events and sports programming. The position will contribute to the development of the client's cross platform strategic direction with a focus on creating a compelling sports entertainment experience, continuously improving and innovating for all their platforms, creating solutions that meet business goals, solving usability issues and keeping abreast of developing technologies. The candidate should be a team-player with good communication skills that is eager to support and grow the pay-per-view and sports marketing business.Reporting to the Manager of Entertainment Digital Content Strategy, this role will collaborate and partner closely with the Product Development and Creative Teams within the Digital Media Group.

Job Responsibilities
• Lead the discovery process on large projects and accurately scope projects, developing documentation that communicates the user experience, business strategy and best practices
• Act as the champion of our audience and steward of our business throughout all phases of content development, design and deployment
• Create and maintain project schedules, track deliverables and establish priorities for self and working teams
• Build and coordinate a shared vision with multiple departments across organizations (including IT and business sponsors) to gain support for strategic initiatives and balance the needs of multiple stakeholders
• Provide direction to graphic designers, copywriters and integrators through creative briefs and group meetings to help achieve site goals
• Manage cross-platform projects from inception to completion working with multiple teams and business stakeholders
• Provide leadership in defining objectives and strategies for user experience and content
• Work in an independent fashion, solve problems, make decisions and communicate effectively in difficult situations
• Create and format web pages, using both a CMS and in HTML/CSS

Skills and Qualifications
• Prior experience (2-4 years) as an interactive content strategist/producer or directly related experience
• Excellent organizational and project management skills with experience managing multiple projects with competing priorities
• Solid knowledge of HTML, CSS and content management systems
• Motivated self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects at a time
• Deep understanding of web best practices coupled with an ability to clarify strategic requirements, explain complex ideas clearly and manage expectations of multiple stakeholders
• Excellent verbal/written communication and presentation skills including the ability to provide guidance to highly technical professionals, creative professionals and executive management
• Strong oral communication and presentation skills
• Experience working on customer-facing communication of marketing initiatives for entertainment content and/or entertainment technology brands is a BIG plus
• Strong knowledge of web development technologies
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required
• Fanatical passion for and knowledge of all things sports
• Sense of humor a must (Being geeky also a plus)
