Content Specialist - part time

Are you looking for a flexible, yet stable opportunity to demonstrate your outstanding content strategy and execution skills? This is a rare opportunity for someone to help create and execute a content strategy for this membership organization.

The objective of this position is to deliver a seamless user experience on all digital communication platforms through dynamic content development and the identification and implementation of emerging trends and technologies to support the business objectives of the organization. You will coordinate communication in all channels for technical operation, content, editorials and visual presentation of web sites and mobile applications and collaborate with staff to ensure accurate and responsive service to develop and deliver effective eCommunications.

You will:

• Edit, manage, and maintain content for websites, mobile websites, applications, social media and other digital platforms—ensuring that content is planned, up-to-date, accurate, and in accordance with styles and standards to preserve the integrity of the user experience.
• Ensure message, call to action, and hyperlinks are consistent with message and information on associated websites.
• Oversee development and scheduling for all mass email campaigns to ensure maximum exposure.
• Collaborate with staff and member subject matter experts to write and edit useful, usable content.
• Ensure that digital content is posted in a timely manner.
• Be responsible for the development, implementation, and ongoing implementation of dynamic content and performance on social media platforms.
• Assist in communications strategy to provide access to organization’s knowledge resources and content for members, the public, members, and staff.
• Assist in providing content approval for website content contributor edits.
• Tracks analytics for websites, social media, and other digital communication platforms, make and implement recommendations based on findings
• Advise on social media best practices and process workflows
• Support online content flow to website.
• Assist in creation of appropriate training for staff content contributors.
• Incorporate dynamic content and segmentation into email campaigns, when possible.
• Track key performance indicators for online and email communications.
• Assist in video production and editing while helping to maintain video library.
• Provide outstanding customer service to all contacts; internal and external.
• Potentially participate on an internal team, either through formal assignment, or on an ad hoc basis.

You should have:

• Bachelor’s or associate degree in marketing, communication or similar field; or degree plus equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of relevant work experience in promotional and editorial web content, writing, and editing
• Comfort learning new digital tools and platforms
• Exceptional organizational, communication and project management skills
• Web redesign experience a plus.
• Good eye for and sense of design, layout, use of colors.
• Excellent command of English
• Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Basic familiarity with HTML is a bonus
• Able to use or learn to use new tools including Adobe Creative Suite and webinar systems
• Willing to learn new software, particularly basic video and sound editing, as needed to successfully perform tasks
• Proven ability to problem-solve and work independently, manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, and work within budget and deadlines.
• Great people skills, ability to work effectively within a cross-departmental team and able to effectively communicate instructions and provide training.
