Content Specialist - mobile

Smartphones are becoming increasingly sophisticated and pervasive, and they are enabling customers to access content, applications, and services anywhere. Our client's experience in retail, technology, digital content, and mobile services provides a strong foundation for future development in this arena, and they are moving aggressively to help customers in new and innovative ways.

They are looking for high-energy, detail-oriented, and technically-savvy Mobile Content Test Specialists to perform quality assurance testing on the digital content consumed by mobile customers. You will manage the flow and processing of new submissions and resubmissions to include record creation, record management, download, install, test and validation of the digital content to ensure it meets their high quality bar. Above all, you will play a vital role in helping them meet their selection expansion goals while protecting their high-quality customer experience.

As a Mobile Content Test Specialist you will:

- Set up and maintain digital content records using internal systems
- Download, install, and test digital content to ensure it meets their high quality bar and adheres to merchandising policies
- Work with the account management team to address content issues as required
- Maintain detailed and accurate progress records to enable aggregate performance and issue tracking
- Identify and champion process improvement ideas and systems enhancements that could increase the productivity or quality of their content operations
- Above all, play a vital role in helping us meet their selection expansion goals while protecting their high-quality customer experience

Basic Qualifications

- 2+ years quality assurance testing in a technology industry or equivalent
- eCommerce, retail, and mobile industry experience desired
- Bachelor’s degree required; concentrations in computer science or other technical field preferred

Preferred Qualifications

- A passion for computers, eCommerce, the Internet, digital content, and the mobile market segment
- Meticulous attention to detail; the ability to juggle many tasks in parallel without lowering your quality bar
- Comfort working with a broad range of technological productivity and work-flow management tools including SharePoint, Excel, and Word
- Self-motivation and a strong bias for action; the ability to hit aggressive productivity goals without micromanagement
- Strong communication skills; the ability to partner with internal team members effectively
- Street smarts; willingness to roll up the sleeves and do whatever is necessary to meet team goals
- An ability to identify, communicate, and champion process improvement opportunities that will benefit the entire content operations team
