Content Publishing Assistant

Do you have some professional experience of working with CMS’s and updating websites? Then we have an amazing opportunity for you!

Our client, one of the world’s largest gaming companies, is looking for 2 Content Publishing Assistants at their HQ in Reading.

You will have previous experience of working with a CMS and have an acute attention to detail.

Part of this role involves proofreading and ensuring all content is accurate prior to it being uploaded onto the client’s online platform for hundreds of millions of users to use. You will ideally have a strong interest in home entertainment and gaming, and already be familiar with the client’s gaming portfolio.

The roles are offered on an initial contract running until the end of June 2014 at £20,000 - £25,000 per annum + benefits. Benefits include a discretionary annual bonus of up to 15%, 25 days paid holiday and subsidised on-site gym and cantine.

Success Criteria:

* Quick transition into team – getting up to speed on tools and the EMEA focus
* Keeps dashboard fresh with new content on a daily/weekly basis across all markets with 100% accuracy
* Demonstrates ability to manage and resolve technical issues
* Understands regional sensitivities and priorities
* Identifies asset requirements with keen attention to detail
* Aids in the production and construction of content using content management tools
* Works well as part of a team, as well as independently
* Proactive with fast reaction skills when content may require changing/updating quickly
Experience and Professional Qualification Requirements:


* A strong proficiency with content management tools and processes
* Excellent communication skills
* Experience of working in a deadline-driven environment
* Experience of working to schedules in a daily or weekly content publishing environment
* Ability to absorb & note information in meetings and support Producer
* Proven working knowledge in creating content for multiple audience types in an online environment, preferably in the entertainment industry
* Experience & proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
* A basic knowledge of Photoshop
*BA/BS or equivalent


* Fluency in one more European languages beneficial but not essential
* Strong editorial skills, particularly an ability to write concise headlines and descriptions that adhere to tight character restrictions
* A basic knowledge of HTML
* Degree in information management, communications, English, journalism or related discipline
