Content Marketing Strategist

networks to engage healthcare influencers? Our ideal candidate is someone with a strong background in

B2B communications, content marketing, issue advocacy and influencer relationship management. This is a

great opportunity for a communications professional who wants to work at a successful and growing

industry leader with a focus on social good and an entrepreneurial, energetic culture. You’ll be part of a

team that builds a digital marketing program from the ground up at a business-oriented non-profit in the

dynamic healthcare industry.

We are looking for a communications professional who likes to take initiative, roll up their sleeves, and dig

into all aspects of challenging communications problems. You have a can-do attitude and are willing to

explore new territory with vigor and sense of ownership. You must be energetic, driven, thoughtful,

collaborative, a master of time management, and enjoy working with people in a variety of roles across

multiple departments. This position is located at URAC headquarters in Washington, D.C.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Collaborate with internal and industry subject matter experts to create content that generates interest

in URAC and positions the organization as a thought leader, including creative briefs, blog posts, press

releases, white papers, issue briefs, social media posts, emails, speeches, infographics, presentations

and website content

 Understand business strategy and provide innovative thinking and strategic insight to develop stories

and effectively communicate to target audiences, including collaborating with in-house design, website

and advertising specialists

 Guide internal subject matter experts to help shape and polish their message and simplify complex

healthcare concepts

 Collaborate on and contribute to content marketing strategy

 Manage the editorial calendar and publishing across the website, social media channels, etc.

 Develop an influencer program based on value exchanges and tiered levels of importance—identify

online influencers and traditional media contacts and cultivate relationships

 Collaborate with other creative resources to ensure consistency of approach and alignment of brand

strategy; manage the style guide

 Write and edit original healthcare content

 Provide quality assurance across all deliverables to ensure written text is free of errors

 Maintain the library of written content for organization

 Stay on top of content best practices to optimize SEO and A/B test in campaign execution and

optimization

 Track healthcare quality industry trends

 Conduct social listening around the brand, competitors and industry issues and trends

 Other duties as assigned

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

 5-7 years of experience crafting B2B marketing campaigns and copywriting for online and print

 Healthcare communications experience a plus

 Creative, innovative, outside-the-box thinker with a passion to create world-class content.

 Possess an unwavering work ethic and a strong desire to learn and share insights.

 Self-driven and motivated individual: you aren’t afraid to jump into any project assigned to you with a

positive attitude. Can think on your feet.

 Strategic thinker with the ability to grasp business strategies and translate them into compelling content

 Demonstrates confidence with senior stakeholders, asking questions and guiding them away from

product-focused language to solution-focused language

 Proven record of taking complex concepts and simplifying them into stories

 Pristine grammar, copywriting and written and verbal communication skills

 Excellent project management skills: you can easily juggle multiple projects and deadlines

 Strong proofreading and editing skills, very detail-oriented

 Voracious content consumer

 Digital-native, fluent in social media platforms with an understanding of best practices across digital

channels

 Energetic, optimistic and enthusiastic mindset with the ability to generate multiple options quickly, under

pressure and within specifications (e.g. word count, target audience, voice, style, etc.)

 Demonstrated knowledge of content marketing strategies and tactics

 Understanding of basic SEO best practices and planning/implementation

 Ability and desire to interact with and motivate people at all levels

 Demonstrated ability to manage ambiguity and multiple complex projects

 Expert at being able to take direction from multiple sources and then implementing accurately based

on that direction

 Ability to collaborate and communicate with people in a variety of roles across multiple departments

and leadership levels

 Familiarity with health care media

 Strong network of healthcare media professionals

 Intermediate to advanced experience with Microsoft products: PPT, Word

 Sense of humor!
