Our client is hiring a Content Marketing Specialist to join their marketing team! This is a full time, permanent position and sits onsite in their Chelmsford, MA office (no work from home ability). This role reports directly to the Marketing Communications Manager.

The Marketing Communications Manager was recently brought on board and he is building out his team. There are 5 subgroups within marketing, including groups like business development, events/trade shows, and more. The goal is to make it all centralized with specialists who focus on specific parts of the marketing puzzle.

Job Description:

You’ll tell our story by creating and curating compelling content to increase engagement and conversion at every stage of the customer journey using a variety of media, such as blog posts, infographics, videos, webinars, surveys, email campaigns, web copy and social media posts. This role will support a wide range of core marketing initiatives and objectives, including brand, thought leadership, lead generation, customer cultivating, web conversion and search/inbound.

What you’ll do here:

Help develop and execute a content strategy that engages stakeholders, builds relationships and drives awareness, thought leadership and demand for our products, services, solutions and events
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business objectives and customer needs into comprehensive content strategies that bring to bear traditional, digital and social media from development to distribution and promotion
Craft engaging content to help attract, engage, convert and retain based on target audience
Tailor content to specific media channels and audiences to ensure that it’s relevant and useful
Help to expand our message reach and establish our communications as premier sources for industry and company-related information
Audit and repurpose existing, high-value content to target different audiences and mediums
Develop, organize and maintain content calendar
Measure content performance and use insights from that data to optimize and increase conversion
Ensure all content is consistent with and supports the overall brand strategy and identity
Keep pace with changes in SEO and naturally incorporate SEO best practices into content development to keep them at the top of search rankings
Be an arbiter of the finest grammar, messaging, writing and style

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Creative Writing, or related field
Minimum 3-5 years relevant Marketing experience (including internships)
Creative writing skills
Extraordinary written and oral communication skills with a passion for jargon-free communication, editorial quality and attention to detail
Knowledge of email marketing, social media, paid search, SEO, marketing automation and retargeting
Proven success with executing effective marketing campaigns
Ability to work with multiple stakeholders and synthesize their points of view into coherent, meaningful and strategic communications
Microsoft Office Suite proficiency
Editorial mindset that seeks to understand what audiences consume and how to create it
