Job Title: Content Marketing Project Manager

Department Overview

The EMEA Retail Marketing department, a central part of the business, is responsible for developing and delivering the marketing and communications strategy to help defend and grow the EMEA retail business. Segments of focus include end investors, fund selectors, advisers and strategic clients across the EMEA region with particular focus including brand and advertising investment in key markets of the UK, Italy, Germany, Switzerland and the Netherlands. Within the EMEA Retail Marketing department, the content team is the main producer of a wide range of collateral – from product-specific to thought leadership and educational materials.

Job Purpose/Background

The role is an integral part of the EMEA Retail Marketing content team. The role holder will report to the Head of EMEA Retail Educational & Campaign-Driven Content Marketing team (with a dotted line to the Head of the EMEA Retail Content, Messaging & Product Marketing team) and the key responsibilities will include:

Managing the delivery of all content and collateral required for the clients own proprietary survey

Managing the production of educational, campaign-driven and thought leadership content for both a professional and consumer audience

Managing the operational processes of the whole content team – including the production of minutes for our monthly editorial meeting and maintenance of our monthly editorial calendar


Project management

Take responsibility for the project management of Investor Pulse for EMEA Retail – our own proprietary investor research, working in close collaboration with the heads of the Educational & Marketing-Driven Content, Global Insights and PR teams – this will focus primarily on the production of required content and coordination with Country Marketers and shared services

Take responsibility for other key projects to be run on behalf of the content team as a whole

Content / Marketing Collateral

Manage proactively the online and print suite of educational / campaign-driven and thought leadership materials for EMEA Retail, working closely with the heads of those teams. This will include managing the production process as well as proposing new content ideas, sourcing data, updating existing materials on a regular basis and getting feedback from key stakeholders. Examples of materials are: conversation starters, thematic presentations, thought leadership pieces, CPD educational programmes, online tools

Collaborate closely with other departments, including compliance, creative services, members of the content team, country marketers, sales, sales strategy and channel marketing teams, to ensure the efficient delivery of thought leadership and educational content and coordinate the distribution across the relevant channels

Keep abreast of what other writing teams are working on across the entire business, and look at ways of leveraging existing educational and thought leadership content

Operational processes for the team

Manage the operational processes for the team, including taking minutes for the monthly editorial meetings, managing a monthly editorial calendar, maintaining a work-in-progress document for the team and managing the workflow of new content requests being received

Build on existing processes which will help the content team respond to and prioritise new requests being received

Be responsible for the relationship with the EMEA Literature team and drive the prioritisation process of what this team is delivering for EMEA Retail

Be responsible for the relationship with freelance writers across Europe, briefing them in conjunction with relevant people in the marketing team and ensuring that consistent messaging is being used in all our documentation

Take responsibility for reporting on the efficiency and effectiveness of the initiatives undertaken by the content team

Take responsibility for organising training programmes required for the whole content team

Knowledge/Experience:


Strong organisational and project management skillset, including an ability to prioritise workloads effectively and actively manage multiple stakeholders while delivering on time

Strong verbal and written communications skillset, including the ability to edit/adapt materials for various client types and levels of investment sophistication and to explain complex ideas simply to non-technical audiences

Strong marketing skills, including the ability to anticipate and respond to changing client needs, work simultaneously in several formats and exercise sound judgment in incorporating feedback

Solid understanding of investment terminology and concepts

Ability to work independently and solve problems

Ability to work effectively in a team environment, working with colleagues across the firm to produce and deliver a number of deliverables / projects

Adaptable, flexible with a strong ‘can do attitude’ and able to operate in a rapidly changing, fast-paced environment

Comfortable with MS Office

Ideally able to display a comfort with basic Excel formulas

A proven track record of professional and personal achievement
