Content Marketing Program Manager

Our large investment client based in Boston is looking for a Content Marketing Program Manager for a 7+ month contract position.
The Content Marketing Program Manager is responsible for working with all external and internal partners to map out a content strategy that supports both marketing and firm-wide initiatives through paid and earned media opportunities. This individual will manage and drive all content marketing programs through media and act as a central point of contact between the firm and all required partners (ie, publishers). The focus for content programs is to promote smart, insightful and relevant content in a way that is easily digestible for our target audience, while also positioning the firm as a thought leader that has a strong POV. This position will sit on the Marketing team within the Intermediary Channel Marketing team.

Responsibilities
Liaising, Strategy & Management
• Liaising with advertising and design managers on the look/design of any promotional unit/ad, ensuring proper brand representation and financial obligations are met. Provided as a main contact for all internal and external partners associated with the content programs.
• Manage internal and external clients, writers, editors, strategists and set benchmarks for best practices, having a strong connection to the content team.
• Leverage all available and relevant content, while helping to develop new content relative to market news, data and/or trends when deemed necessary.
• Proactively maintain content inventories, ensuring expired pieces are pulled when necessary and new pieces are incorporated when available.
• Monitor programs to ensure our content is being promoted and positioned in the best possible way (ie, alignment of our content with content on publishers sites).
• Monitor relevant conversations where intermediary content and topics are being discussed to serve as fodder for program recommendations.
• Develop a monthly competitive audit around how relevant competitors are using content syndication opportunities in order to drive and evolve strategy on a go-forward basis.

Collaboration
• Establish “work flow” process to best demonstrate request for, creation, editing/approving, publishing and retiring of all content.
• Ensure deliverables and timelines align with all approval parties necessary to launch the initiative.
• Constantly review campaign data and reports and continue to optimize the program where necessary with external media agency and internal media manager.
• Work closely with the Advertising and Sales teams to ensure all content programs are aligned with key messaging and themes.
• Work closely with Media Manager to ensure programs are launched on time and within budget as recommendations made by our media agency are executed.
• Work closely with the Compliance and Legal teams to ensure all content/programs are aligned with regulatory standards, regulated by FINRA.

Results
• Application of content knowledge, insights and analytics to inform ROI, engagements and optimizations for all initiatives.
• Responsible for the success of each campaign through early management and continuous optimizations ensuring to deliver on business goals.
• Ability to inform content relevancy in the market across any and all campaigns to help maintain accuracy and positive reflections of the firm.

Skills, Qualities and Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree
• 5+ years’ experience in financial industry and management
• Passionate for following market trends and promoting engaging insights beyond typical advertising and content initiatives
• Experience managing external partners and agencies
• Experience project managing, meeting deadlines and continuously enhancing processes to drive results
• Deep understanding of the Financial Service Industry, preferably Asset Management
• Ability to react quickly and influence decisions in a highly collaboration environment
• Strong people management and communication skills Start Time: 8:30 AM
