Content Marketing Manager

The Content Marketing Manager contributes to content marketing initiatives across multiple platforms and formats to drive client retention, net new leads and ultimately sales. This individual has experience in all things related to developing content—from project management to proofreading and production. The person in this position will report to the Senior Content Marketing Manager, and will collaborate heavily with product marketing, solutions consultants, corporate marketing (including designers) and our demand generation team.

JOB DETAILS: (The results you will deliver each day that matter most!):
The job of the Content Marketing Manager is to help the team maintain a steady flow of high-quality, effective content through writing, editing, proofreading and project management. This includes:

  • Copywriting for a wide variety of assets and channels—including blog articles, whitepapers, social media and more.
  • Proofreading marketing assets, including assets produced by product marketing, demand generation, event team and corporate marketing.
  • Serve as the assistant editor for our blog, including maintaining our editorial calendar, proofreading and editing posts, writing posts and project managing blog production (including writing and posting articles, images and metadata to the blog).
  • Project manage monthly production of a client newsletter.
  • Help maintain content governance throughout content lifecycle—from development to retirement.
  • Contribute to multiple special projects throughout the year, including project management of our annual benchmarking reports, client events and virtual conference.


  • Experience and Education Required
  • Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, advertising, public relations or related communications field.
  • 2+ years of experience in multichannel content creation (publishing, journalism, PR, etc.).
  • Experience with creating compelling messages for a B2B audience. Experience with creating content for a software company or an ethics/legal/compliance/HR audience a plus.
  • Understanding of demand/lead generation processes a plus.


  • Skills Required
  • Proven writing, proofreading , editorial and communication skills. Outstanding command of the English language.
  • Project management skills, including attention to detail and ability to prioritize.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Experience with basic SEO principles.
  • Basic technical understanding of HTML and web publishing applications.
  • Expertise and experience in all major business software applications (Microsoft Office, etc.).
  • Experience maintaining content management systems and corporate intranets a plus.
  • Experience with Drupal, Kapost, Google Analytics, Marketo, and/or Salesforce a plus.
  • Experience with AP style a plus.
