Content Marketing Manager - fulltime, temp-to-hire

This is a new position at a growing in-house marketing team at a media company. The Content Marketing Manager is responsible for managing, curating, and developing content that will ultimately drive lead acquisition and sales.

This position reports to the VP of Marketing.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Repurposing existing assets and content, where appropriate
-Creating new content across multiple marketing channels (blog posts, value add articles, whitepapers
-Ghost writing for prominent celebrity figure: understanding "voice" and writing scripts, blog posts, social media posts and other content published in his name
-Gathering information and research from multiple internal and external entities
-Working with marketing, creative and social media teams to integrate content activities within a campaign
-Define content distribution during stages of the buying cycle to nurture leads
-Make recommendations on CMS programs that fit the needs of the organization
-Develop editorial calendar, determine media/methods that work for target audience
-Establish workflow for all stages of content creation, editing, publication
-Ensure content themes, keywords, tagging, etc meet SEO objectives

REQUIREMENTS:
-5+ years of experience in multichannel content creation
-B.A. in Journalism, English or communications related field
-M.A. preferred
-Project management skills, esp for editorial schedules and deadlines
-Experience with Wordpress, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, Slideshare, Google+, Pinterest
-Occasional travel required
