Content Marketing & SEO Strategist

AQUENT is partnering with one of our COOLEST clients and managers to help them identify a Content Marketing & SEO Strategist for their team in Richmond, VA.

As a member of the Digital Acquisitions team, you will help execute Content Marketing & SEO strategy by managing project work for one of the most visited sites in the nation. You will partner with members of a cross-functional Agile team to identify new opportunities in the natural search channel as well as the target audiences of the program. In this role, you will provide input into content and development teams to accelerate growth and meet or exceed business objectives. Specifically, this role will be focused on driving Acquisitions marketing through SEO and Content Marketing with a heavy focus on customer-backed thinking. Attention to detail is a must, as well as strategic and critical thinking skills.

¥ Utilize process management and project management skills to bring projects and intent to life Partner with Brand, Creative, Operations, and Development teams during development and execution phases
¥ Conduct keyword research and competitive analyses to guide content creation
¥ Leverage data to inform strategy and intent
¥ Own and influence content audits, on and off-page optimizations, link building best practices, content marketing strategy, and content distribution methods
¥ Help steer work with both agency and in-house partners
¥ Shape strategy as a member of the Content Marketing Team and broader Website Team

An ideal candidate will have experience in digital marketing strategy, data analysis, and has directly worked in SEO for large organizations, along with a proven ability to:

• Manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Influence, inspire others in support of shared goals and objectives

Basic Qualifications:
¥ Bachelor’s degree or military experience
¥ 3+ years of experience of B2C marketing
¥ At least 3 years of experience in Digital Marketing
¥ At least 2 years of experience in process management/project management
¥ At least 1 year working in SEO and Content Marketing
¥ Experience utilizing data and analytics to inform strategy

Preferred Qualifications:
¥ Demonstrable experience in project management
¥ Familiarity with SEO tools, such as BrightEdge, Conductor, Moz, Ahrefs, etc.
¥ Prior experience at a Fortune 200 company or other high-traffic website
¥ 1+ years of experience in financial services marketing efforts
¥ Experience working on an Agile team or knowledge of Agile methodology

Technical Knowledge:

Ability to understand basic HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Technical & Content SEO Ranking Factors
