Overview:
A utility provider in Alabama is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced staff writer/digital content strategist to join their marketing team to help support the growing desire for consistent, engaging, and sharable content geared toward energy & utility related concepts like renewable energy, energy efficiency, power quality, economic development etc. This person will ideally have 3-5 years as a content marketer writing click-worthy content and an interest in marketing effectively to their growing community of digital engaged consumers. The right candidate is a strong storyteller who asks great questions, listens carefully and is an exceptional writer who can grab attention. The ideal person for this job should also be comfortable and confident working one-on-one with cross-functional leaders throughout the enterprise to empower and encourage their audiences.

Key Responsibilities:
*Produce high-quality feature articles
*Manage the day-to-day responsibilities of content syndication
*Partnering to create compelling social media content to drive traffic and engagement
*Write articles daily/weekly for website
*Write lead generation email marketing
*Copy edit and clean up content as needed
*Assist with the flow of content on key social platforms to maintain a regular posting cadence
*Manage team relationships with content partners to ensure weekly syndication
*Work closely with the PR, social, brand and marketing teams to align on key strategies, launch dates and messaging
*Understand social media and blogging trends, and be constantly thinking of new ways to engage jobseekers and employers
on these platforms

Qualifications and Requirements:
*3-5 years of progressive experience in editorial and social
*Excellent writing and communication skills: able to craft engaging stories (blog posts, emails, websites, etc.).
*Detailed portfolio or a link with samples of work
*Ability to adhere to brand guidelines
*Thorough knowledge of the AP Style and/or exceptional writing, editing, grammar, spelling and communication skills
*Ability to meet tight deadlines & willingness to tackle new challenges
*Extensive knowledge of social platforms, including LinkedIn and Facebook
*Undergraduate degree, Marketing, PR or Journalism degree preferred
