Content Manager IV

Our client is seeking a mid to senior-level Content Designer with a strong background in web content and preferably, the payments industry. You should see yourself as a designer, who uses words to shape the user experience. You must also write concisely and effectively, convey company voice and strategy, and collaborate effectively with user interface designers, visual designers, and product teams.

You are expected to become an expert in a specific product area, to think creatively, communicate your ideas clearly, take initiative, and to execute quickly and efficiently. You should understand the difference between marketing content, UI content, and technical documentation and know how to write all three. Technology should come easily to you and facilitate your ability to ramp up quickly on the company product development life cycle and related processes.

Responsibilities:
• Create compelling online content based on user needs, business objectives, and product knowledge
• Become a subject matter expert in assigned product areas
• Work in close collaboration with user interface and visual designers, product managers, and developers
• Present your work and communicate your content strategy to your teams
• Analyze data to evaluate the effectiveness of content strategy, and push towards continuous content improvement
• Uphold content quality standards help to maintain consistent writing style and voice across the site
• Understand and adhere to brand, stylistic, and legal requirements
• Understand localization and international requirements
• Understand product development life cycle, milestones, and deliverables
• Other responsibilities as defined by manager

Requirements are:
• Excellent oral, written, and editing skills
• Solid understanding of user experience design principles and best practices
• Ability to develop content that supports objectives with minimal direction
• Ability to collaborate effectively and verbally communicate complex ideas within cross-functional design and product teams
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Experience in B2B e-commerce, financial services, payments, or retail industries
• Minimum 5 years of professional writing experience, with 3 years writing web content
• Skilled in creative problem-solving that will enable a better user experience
• Professionalism in all aspects of daily tasks
• Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, HCI, Design, or related field
• Payments or finance industry experience a big plus, especially writing content for the web
• Experience in Agile or Lean UX environment is a plus
