Content Manager

A Content Manager is needed for a approximately 3 months this summer to cover a leave. This is with a fantastic education institution right in Boston!

The 3 main functions of the role are below:

Content development:
Create news for the school's highly visible sections (homepages: School, Alumni, Faculty). Everything needs to be read and checked for accuracy
-write features myself and work with freelancers and/or oversee a student editorial asst. to develop them.
-collect, generate, assess, produce/assign, review, and publish all Web news features.
-work with videographers to generate video content for the Web.
-pitch ideas and work with videographer on the concept, interview questions, attend and/or conduct video interview, and review/approve scripts and final product.

Projects:
-creating a campaign video to play to alumni in September. You'll be involved with both the video and updates to the site that involve the school's campaign.
-The school is in the process of redesigning the site, so you'll be involved in the process with the outside firm charged with this task.

Technical:
Oversee Website updates-any requests for new pages, side-navigation, slideshows, build-outs, etc.
-review and decide if these updates make sense for the site, and then decide next steps.
-Updates to the site will be made using Dreamweaver or Contribute. More technical request will be handled by IT.
