Content Management Specialist

This organization's goal is to organize the world’s information, making it more useful and accessible to everyone— that means internal information as well. As a part of the Benefits team at this top tech company the work is organized into three categories - Health Benefits, Financial/International Benefits and Cross Functional Work (Comms, Child Care/Family Programs.)

As a Content Management Specialist, it’s your job to structure, sort and migrate content from current internal pages into a newer, more robust CMS. Not only will you edit current content and add visuals for the platform, you’ll help to design how that content is organized and structured. By examining user behavior data, you’ll be able to understand the journey, decision points and roadblocks that our users come up against, then make recommendations to improve overall experience.

Top 3 Daily Responsibilities:
1) Take inventory of the current content
2) Migrate content into a backend system with an eye for design, readability and a sensible structure
3) Review/edit and at times create compelling written and rich media help content (including screenshots, videos, images and guided flows)

Additional Responsibilities:
*Balance both business and user need to ensure content is accurate, necessary and accessible
*Drive efficiency by suggesting workflow improvements
*Analyze user behavior data to optimize user experience and ensure content is performing well

Minimum Qualifications:
*BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience (preferably in journalism, education, support operations, marketing, and/or consulting)
*Experience writing and editing customer-focused copy
*Ability to translate complex ideas into simple, easy to understand content
* Experience creating web pages or working in backend content management.

Preferred Qualifications:
*Ability work independently, cross-functionally, and on multiple initiatives at the same time.
*Familiarity with HTML and strong understanding of user experience principles and rich media usage.
*Strong attention to detail and excellent follow-through
*Experience in developing online content strategy, working with content management systems, SEO methodologies, and marketing communications for consumer facing products a plus
*Project management experience - nice to have
