My client is one of the UK’s most popular websites, with monthly visitors of approximately 15 million people.

The vast majority of its content comes from premium partners. Homepage editors are required to have broad experience on major sites, good editorial sense, and demonstrable knowledge and interest in mainstream news, sport, business, finance, entertainment, lifestyle and food & drink.

Role Purpose
• Deliver a timely, exciting and different experience every day
• Have a good understanding of ways to grow audience using the mediums at your disposal.
• Select and promote relevant, timely and interesting content from a range of content partners, and publish them to our large audience.
• Leverage your experience of writing headlines, copy editing and picture editing to ensure all our promoted content is as engaging and clickable as possible.
• Use internal tracking and stats tools to ensure that we hit our user, page view and click targets each month.
• Monitor users’ feedback and, wherever appropriate, act on them.

Responsibilities
• Help lead the content management of the webpage
• Coordinate cross-channel initiatives as needed
• Liaison with a variety or editorial and commercial teams
• Ensure we deliver on our Consumer Propositions and Sales requests
• Work closely with commercial teams on joint sales pitches
• Daily management of the website, and ensure that we hit required UU/PV/Visit/CTR metrics.

Qualities & skills needed
• Experience of working with and attaining web traffic targets
• Have great attention to detail
• Very high standard of literacy & numeracy
• Experience of working with content management systems and web-traffic monitoring systems
• Ability to multi-task under pressure
• Good team-working skills
