In this 7+ month assignment in New York, Aquent's client - a Fortune 500 multi-national tech company - is seeking a Content Editor! 

This would be an ideal role for a versatile writer ( worked with publishers or as a tech writer in the past could be considered as well). You will be drafting significant emails, product feature related content, launches, blog posts etc. A portfolio of writing samples is required to be considered. 

Project Overview 
As an Editor you will plan, create, edit, and schedule a portion of the program’s written materials, from engaging content on the Connect forum to emails optimized for a global community. You must be a rigorous copy editor as well as a creative thinker. The range and pace of your assignments vary greatly; however, you are able to produce accurate and lively content for a diverse global audience quickly, often at a moment's notice. The role demands attention to detail and diligence. In return, you'll be a key member of a dynamic team. 

Overall Responsibilities: 

  • Managing the content calendar, which includes conducting interviews for Q&As, writing weekly posts and others on the fly, and editing all posts from internal stakeholders and freelancers 
  • Writing all program emails, featuring both product and program news 
  • Additional editing of materials, including video titles and scripts, and social copy as needed 
  • Managing the editorial calendar and process for the forum 
  • Editing copy from internal stakeholders and freelancers from around the world 
  • Tracking insights and metrics to pivot to the most successful types of content 
  • Setting deadlines and scheduling content to keep projects on track

Required Skills: 

  • BA/BS Degree required 
  • Minimum of 3-7 years of experience as a Content Editor 
  • Strong copy editing skills 
  • Strong eye for details 
  • Ability to adopt a style with great ease 
  • Top-notch writing and editing skills with an ability to adapt to various styles 
  • Strong research and project management skills 
  • Must be able to demonstrate an ability to deliver content in a timely manner and hit weekly targets 
  • Must have an understanding of editorial processes and/or technical ability to operate in a content management system (CMS: inputting content and publishing online) 
  • Must have experience optimizing content for email and/or for social media 


Nice to have skills: 
Prior experience writing or editing travel/lifestyle content preferred
