CONTRACT: 5 MONTHS

LOCATION: BELLEVUE, WA

** A FORTUNE 500 RETAIL COMPANY IS LOOKING FOR AN EXCEPTIONAL CONTENT EDITOR! **

 

OVERVIEW: Assisting with a corporate migration. This role will support the HR Operations team that is responsible for providing simple, scalable and efficient core HR communications to all employees worldwide. This includes improving many aspects of the employee experience.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Inventory and assess current HR content on our intranet; help define content plan
  • Rewrite and reorganize existing website content to meet standards, guidelines, and best practices
  • Write content into common structure and format to improve employee experience
  • Write, edit, upload, and publish site content, documents, and articles into site and knowledge base
  • Build and implement existing accessibility features into online experience (alt text, captions, …)
  • Ensure content is informative, understandable, and actionable (“learn” and “do”)
  • Test content including hyperlinks, accessibility features, and other online functionality
  • Improve online content based on direct employee feedback and expectations
  • Collaborate with content owners and subject matter experts (SMEs) to create/update/edit content
  • Evaluate content provided by owners and accept or reject based on established criteria
  • Enhance site search functionality with search term implementation and keywords
  • Deliver content for migration to future site and knowledge base
  • Identify opportunities for content standardization and improvement
  • Document and update best practices and process improvements
  • Help to develop online training so content owners and creators can self-serve
  • Communicate status weekly

 

 

MUST HAVE:

  • 3 or more years of writing and editing experience for customer-facing web properties
  • Experience in fast paced, dynamic corporate environments
  • Knowledge of globalization and localization standards
  • Formal education (B.A. or M.A. in English or related major), certification, or work experience
  • HR, legal, or policy writing experience preferred
  • Fluency in English essential
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills
  • Articulate and fluent communicator
  • Expert in English grammar, spelling, and punctuation
