Our client is seeking a savvy wordsmith to join the certifications marketing team. The Certifications Marketing team is responsible for building awareness and generating revenue for certifications. As a member of this team, the Writer & Editor is a key contributor in developing and sharing our story worldwide to help continually grow our certifications business. The person needs to provide direction on the topics to cover and manage the balance between these different types as well as write, assign writers, and edit for publication. In addition, they’ll be part of the editing process of our marketing materials.

The Writer & Editor will be responsible the blog which includes strategy, ideas for articles, writing, assigning, editing and posting. In doing so, this person will ensure our brand voice is maintained and will coordinate how the articles are promoted via appropriate digital channels including social media. The individual in this position will assist in creating and editing additional content marketing pieces such as case studies, flyers, website content, infographics, interactive quizzes, video scripts, and others as needed. He/she will also be responsible for editing digital mailings including the Professional newsletter.

The person will be a flexible go-getter. He/she will collaborate with internal teams across the organization to develop content and stories that resonate with our various audiences.
The Writer & Editor, will also source and manage freelance writers who provide assigned, contributed content for our various outlets.

Candidates must have a knack and love for writing, a comprehensive understanding of the IT/Tech industry, a grasp of and willingness to expand their knowledge of digital marketing tools, and experience in blogging to achieve business goals.
Writing and editing various types of articles on a range of topics for our certifications blog.
Writing and editing content that supports certification marketing campaigns.
Contributing to and sharing maintenance of editorial calendar.
Developing, writing, and editing case studies and success stories.
Providing feedback to other contributors, and editing other writers’ content.
Optimizing web content for search engines and lead generation.
Sourcing and managing freelance writers.
Conducting analytical projects to improve blog strategies/tactics.
Growing blog subscribers, converting visitors into leads, and expanding our blog's overall reach.


BS or BA required.
Emphasis in Marketing or Communications preferred.
HTML experience preferred.
