We have an Insurance client in an awesome downtown San Diego location that is seeking a Content Development Director, with Insurance experience, to add to their team. This is a full-time/ON-SITE position! No RELOS!

Responsibilities include:
• Content creation/production, scheduling
• Mechanics of publishing and management (SEO, etc.)
• Tagging, images, style
The Basics of the Position:

• We’re looking for a journalist-turned content marketer
• We need you to think like an investigative reporter continually asking our internal clients “why”. Get to the root of why our clients should care about their products.
• Excellent writing, must know AP style and self-editing skills are a must as well as understanding of the various channels and types of content
• Must have a love of research and a love to create
• Business acumen – Understand what drives business value, develop relevant customer-oriented B2B content, understand how our company and industry works
• This is a player/coach position requiring strength in shifting from big picture to detailed execution as required by evolving priorities, projects and initiatives
• Digital technology skills and an understanding of the online environment. Publishing with our group will not require content to wait in an IT queue
• Organized, with a passion for meeting deadlines
• Be a team player and check your ego at the door. Your job is to make the company look good
• Be an idea machine. New topics and approaches will be needed constantly
• Multi-tasking capabilities are a must in our fast-paced environment

Job Summary

Our Content Development Director will create, implement and oversee all company communications that effectively describe and promote products and services for Arrowhead and its subsidiaries. Helps to develop overall strategy, positioning, tactics and success metrics for marketing campaigns. Manages the development, production, inventory and distribution of a variety of sales and promotional materials to help maximize selling efforts. Ensures that new information is added to communication media. Manages all sources of information about products and services that persuade a sale and/or relationship that builds or maintains loyalty to both the company and its offerings. Helps to develop and maintain company’s online content. Participates in planning, creating, and producing all collateral and campaigns, advertising, promotion and lead generation programs.

In a nutshell, if the company needs written content, whether it be for external marketing or internal corporate communications, the Content Development Director will write it. This role is not an order-taker. The position is providing strategy and solutions with a creative flair.


Skills & Qualifications

• Possesses extensive knowledge in area of property and casualty insurance
• Bachelor's degree in related discipline
• A minimum of 4 years marketing experience with content marketing and/or digital marketing and social media marketing experience
• Strong ability to write scripts including webinars and training videos
• Understanding of SEO and content marketing best practices
• Exceptional communication and project management skills
• History of building and maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners
• A strong work ethic with an ability use critical thinking skills to help us achieve goals in the most efficient manner possible
• Exceptional organizational abilities and proven ability to multi-task
• Have a sense of humor.
