Our client, one of the world’s largest gaming companies is looking for a Content Coordinator to work on their online platform.

You will be responsible for uploading new content onto their online media platform and troubleshoot any difficulties. As port of the Content Coordinator role, it will be your responsibility to spot any mistakes in submissions and you will therefore need to have an acute attention to detail, as mistakes can be costly to the business.

The Content Coordinator would be expected to coordinate between multiple internal teams in Europe, Asia and America as well as 3rd Party Publishers to oversee the submission process, coordinate the components required for delivery, carry out certain validation checks and then schedule the content appearing on the service.

You will need at least 1-3 years of production experience in a publishing or other media company and knowledge of word processing, database and spreadsheets. Previous working knowledge of SQL, InDesign & CMS’s are a big plus. A passion for gaming and previous work experience for a gaming company would be ideal.

The role is offered on an initial contract running until the end of June 2014 and is paying £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience. This will be based at the company’s head office in Reading. Benefits include 25 days paid holiday, a discretionary annual bonus of up to 15% and subsidised gym and cantine on-site.



• Help process/manage offers for content releasing on the online platform – including game demos, trailers, themes, gamer pictures and in-game content from our publishing partners.
• Provide appropriate level of status updates and communication on assigned offers/requests across multiple teams.
• Assist in coordinating the release schedule of content and ensure that offers are released and modified on the scheduled time and within the defined SLA.
• Being proficient in handling escalations including being able to ascertain cause as well as recommend required steps to resolve in highly time sensitive situations
• Be able to react to and quickly provide appropriate feedback/updates to key stakeholders/partner teams such as business operations team members, account management, marketing, business teams, etc.
• Be able to handle, at an appropriate level, business escalations for expediting offer deployment and change management of existing offers.
• Learn the processes for generating tokens/codes for content offers as well as generate appropriate level of operational reports/provide periodic updates to business operations team as needed.
• Support & contribute regarding expanding processes for tracking and scheduling of content and work with Business Operations, Account Managers, Release Managers, Marketing, the online teams, Software publishers and other providers to drive a successful content schedule.


The ideal candidate will:

• Be highly detailed oriented and have the ability to learn quickly in an agile and rapidly changing business environment.
• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication skills are essential.
• Have incredibly strong organization skills, multi-task with ease and have the ability to prioritise & re-prioritise when necessary.
• Ability to deliver high quality and accurate results in fast-paced/high pressure scenarios and time sensitive situations.
• Will have some background of content management experience and come from either an operations, producer, project management or technical background within a video game publisher or related company.
• Knowledge of databases and spreadsheets + Office Suite required.
• Experience of SQL reporting preferable. Basic programming experience and some DTP skills advantageous.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Have a passion for gaming.
