AQUENT'S client is searching for a Content Coordinator to monitor daily metadata production queues, assign tasks to indexers and copyeditors, provide indexing and copyediting support, and coordinate all metadata aspects of our client's products.

This is a great, entry-level role for someone who has an editorial background! Recent interns encouraged to apply, especially with a degree in English, Communication or related.

Primary responsibilities include:

CONTENT COORDINATION: The Content Administrator coordinates complete and timely metadata and image delivery for all in-house audiobook titles produced by the client, metadata for all titles must be assembled using in-house and external resources, and all image files must be researched and cleared with the original publishers and/or original rights holders. If applicable, the Content Administrator works with the Creative team on the creation of in-house cover art.

MARKETING COORDINATION: The Content Administrator prepares weekly status reports for both internal Merchandising and Marketing teams. He or she will also attend weekly check-in meetings to ensure that Content Creation, Metadata, and Marketing teams are aligned with on-sale dates and promotion awareness for priority titles.

OVERSIGHT OF METADATA QUEUES: The Content Administrator monitors the status of the daily metadata indexing and copyediting queues, and assigns indexers and copyeditors to their respective queues. He or she ensures that the daily metadata workflow is completed before end of day and, if needed, provides support on indexing or copyediting. The Content Administrator may proofread and fact-check product descriptions and supporting information prior to the release of products to online retailers. Key elements for review include a product's price,release date, territory rights, availability, royalty earner, and taxonomy.

Candidate should be:
- A passionate consumer of online media, including books (audio and print), websites, blogs, and other digital content sources.
- A self-starter with impeccable organizational and analytical skills.
- A confident and upbeat communicator via written and verbal business communication skills.
- Highly organized and detail oriented.
- Able to thrive in a high-energy, entrepreneurial environment.

- B.A., B.S., or equivalent degree, preferably in the humanities
- Ideally one year professional proofreading, copy-editing, and fact-checking experience in Publishing
- Ideally one year experience in Web-based publishing environment
- Familiarity with social media and Web-based research tools (e.g., Google)
- Technical proficiency in Windows operating environment
- Fluency in Outlook, Excel, and MS Word
- Demonstrated multi-tasking and problem solving skills in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
- Demonstrated ability to work with a wide variety of people
- Demonstrated focused attention to detail
- Highly organized
- Data-entry awareness and experience
