Our well-known electronic device client is looking for a technical writer to support the Information Technology Infrastructure Compliance Team. S/he will use knowledge of best practices, interview and collaborate with IT team members to obtain an in-depth understanding of the procedures pertaining to compliance requirements in order to produce and maintain high-quality documentation (including process flow diagrams, user-friendly graphical job aids, process narratives, technical reference materials, templates, examples, guides, and other tools to facilitate integration of new content, collaborating with the firmware infrastructure team) within their Confluence Wiki to satisfy compliance and auditing requirements. This is a full-time 6 month assignment, onsite in San Francisco, CA.
-5+ years’ experience as a technical writer within an IT department
-Superior command of the English language, and ability to communicate clearly (strong verbal and written skills)
-Proven working experience in writing technical networking procedures for compliance/auditing (HIPPA, HiTrust, SOX, PCI, etc.)
-Experience with Atlassian Confluence and JIRA
-Comfortable with collaborative writing and editing in Google Docs
-Ability to deliver high-quality documentation with careful attention to detail
-Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and pictures.
-Ability to work independently handling multiple projects while adhering to expected deadline schedules
