Competitive Intelligence Sr. Specialist

Our client, a major Healthcare company, is looking for a Competitive Intelligence Senior Specialist to join their growing team on a contract to hire basis. The Competitive Intelligence Senior Specialist will develop and drive a CI research agenda to support insight deployment and delivery to internal stakeholders and clients. Mastery of Comp Intel methods, analytical skills, and ability to collaborate across all levels of an organization are required. These include, but are not limited to, business and research objective development and alignment, advanced research design, vendor management, applying data analysis, and reporting insights and implications that are concise, meaningful, and critical in guiding business advancement. The Competitive Intelligence Sr. Specialist will report to the Competitive Intelligence Manager and will be responsible for supporting multiple internal clients with a focus on Regional Accounts and a variety of key initiatives. 

Responsibilities
• Advises the organization on competitive intelligence (CI) initiatives and works closely with internal and external partners to monitor competitor activities, new technologies, and emerging threats and opportunities 
• Anticipates and assesses rapidly developing industry trends, innovations, and disruptions in the health care industry and adjacent spaces, and their impact on the company, primarily in its U.S. Mid-Size Employer Accounts (Regional Segment) 
• Leads the development of rigorous analyses to inform strategic and operation decision-making across the evolving competitive landscape at a national, market, and local level and across various distribution channels 
• Supports short and long-term strategic decision-making by developing and providing a set of products that convey analytical judgments regarding best-in-class competitors, emerging niche competition, and strategic threats & future opportunities 
• Drives the discussion of the business segment’s competitive market positioning by providing informed evaluations of key strategic dimensions including product, pricing, network, marketing and technology 
• Identifies potential new business development opportunities in existing, adjacent and adjoining industries, leads cross-segment & cross-enterprise ad hoc business development teams to develop business cases to prioritize resources for new business opportunities, and develops strategies for green-lighted concepts to Go To Market 
• Executes an annual CI survey to inform future work 
• Maintains content on an internal Segment-specific portal 
• Manages the continued development of a competitive intelligence portal 
• Leads the annual Comp Intel meeting planning, agenda and quarterly calls 
• Works with vendors to expand the company's relationship and access to information 
• Responds to ad-hoc requests from other business units
