We're looking for a Competitive Intelligence Specialist to join our large pharma client for a 6month+ contract opportunity!

Job Title: Competitive Intelligence
Duties: The Contractor is responsible for driving proactive, competitor surveillance activities that include discovering, consolidating and communicating key commercial trends, opportunities, threats and implications related to key businesses, our competitors and/or the external environment.
The role will provide analyses and actionable intelligence briefings to the responsible brands to provide evidence-based strategic and tactical guidance and enable evidence-based decision-making.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide relevant stakeholders with proactive, ongoing surveillance as well as ad-hoc support related to client's new immunology product portfolio

Conduct analyses of competitor and market performance, commercial support/activities (sales force size/structure, promotional spending, etc.), pipeline, clinical trials, launch and LOE timelines as well as other environmental issues/trends that could impact client and/or the industry.
Deliver objective and compelling insights and recommendations that enable the commercial organization to make better business decisions.
Direct, oversee, and conduct primary intelligence activities with third-party agencies, including coverage reports at key industry conferences.
Drive creation and delivery of key competitive preparedness activities including competitive readiness documents and War-gaming and competitive simulations
Present analytical findings and disseminate regular competitive intelligence reports to the commercial organization.


The role is responsible for providing comprehensive, market-level environmental overviews to serve as a key input to the strategic and tactical planning process.

The role will drive the formulation of an annual strategic competitive plan that will feed into the organization's strategic and tactical plans.
Overviews will give consideration to key patient, provider, payer and legislative trends that will impact client and/or the market.

Role will design and implement a best practice approach to managing competitors and disseminating actionable information to the responsible brand teams (e.g. including initiatives around competitive surveillance, preparedness and response)

Provide concise analyses that go beyond a presentation of the facts to include a discussion of the associated business implications and recommended course of action.
Define KPIs and measurement processes to track overall performance within client key areas of interest.
Challenge current thinking by developing new ways of analysis, synthesis and delivery of information.
Proactively seek process improvement opportunities by challenging existing processes, proposing solutions, and driving implementation.
Continuous exploration to identify new and innovative CI techniques and data sources that result in unique and actionable insights.
Skills: Demonstrate strong business acumen, excellent communication skills and ability to succinctly express point view using both written and verbal communications.

Excellent writing, presentation and project management skills required.
Position requires the ability to tell a clear, compelling,story,and deliver information and recommendations that are targeted to the business question/hypothesis, in a way that cuts through the clutter and facilitates action.
Ability to produce high-quality, business-relevant output with strong emphasis on 'packaging' of information is critical - - i.e., compelling, accurate content as well as attention to clear, concise data presentation and aesthetic detail/formatting.

Strong understanding of secondary and CI research sources and methodologies.
Fluency in the use of a wide range of secondary data sources including, but not limited to: sales, prescription and promotional audits, as well as general business and pharmaceutical industry data sources.
Excellent writing, presentation and project management skills.
Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.


Keywords:
Education: Bachelor's degree required; MS/MBA preferred.
Minimum of 5-7 years working within the Business Intelligence or CI function.
