Aquent Canada is looking for a dynamic and experienced Community Program Manager. The Community Program Manager will be responsible for overseeing, planning and directing social media interactions, marketing and promotional activities on behalf of Aquent Canada’s clients in the video game industry. Aquent Canada’s head office is located at 77 Bloor Street, Suite 1405 in Toronto, Ontario M5S 1M2 but this position will mainly be in British Columbia’s Vancouver and surrounding areas.
The position is a full-time position with Aquent Canada for a period of two-years and the successful candidate will remain employed by Aquent Canada. The wage rate will be $38.87 per hour for an average of 40 hours per week, annual equivalent $80,849.60. This position will also have benefits such as a contribution towards health care and dental premiums, vacation and statutory holidays. The successful candidate will also be eligible to receive a relocation reimbursement.
The Community Program Manager will perform the following responsibilities and duties:
• Initiate and conduct market research and analyze the findings in order to direct, create and evaluate the marketing strategies of Aquent Canada clientele to promote sales of high-profile game studio products including initially the Gears of War video game franchise;
• Assess video game eSports events and community events to provide feedback specifically relating to Aquent Canada and its clients’ video game franchises, such as the Gears of War;
• Provide feedback to Aquent Canada and its client’s technology and development teams based on understanding of the video gaming industry from the user’s perspective in order to ultimately increase sales and support the marketing strategy; and
• Direct, plan and evaluate the design, development and maintenance of social media sites to manage Aquent Canada client’s interaction with the video gaming community
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, communications or a related field
• 3 to 5 years of Video Game Player expertise exhibited by Active or Former Membership in the Major League Gaming Inc.’s Players Association
• Expertise and experience in popular video game franchises such as Gears of War or Medal of Honor or Battlefield IV or New Starwars Battlefront
• Experience promoting video game franchises using social media
