Community Moderator

Aquent's client, a large tech company headquartered in Mountain View, CA, is seeking a Community Moderator for a 6–month assignment at their New York City location.

They are looking for energetic team-players to help them improve their online communities and user engagement. Community moderators help keep their online forum spam-free, troubleshoot user problems, and respond to users on behalf of our brand. Specific responsibilities include reviewing posts, moderating spam, keeping the community organized, answering questions, responding on social media channels and replying to emails.

The ideal candidate will have experience representing a major brand online, managing social media channels, moderating a forum, and/or managing a community.

Main Responsibilities:
-Reviewing and replying to users via email, social and in their community
-Moderating spam and taking action on users violating program or platform rules
-Keeping the community/forums organized by moving posts to appropriate categories, deleting or marking as spam
-Answering questions and troubleshooting user issues
-Identifying trends and proposing (and/or crafting) articles and content to address common issues or subjects

Minimum Requirements:
-Strong writing skills (advanced candidates will be given a writing assessment)
-High attention to detail
-Must be able to read and write English, fluently and idiomatically.
-Must speak English fluently.

Nice to Have:
-Multi-lingual candidates preferred.
-Experience representing a major brand online
-Experience managing social media channels on behalf of a brand or business
-Experience moderating a forum and/or community
-Good intuition and attitude, high energy (enjoys interacting with people)
-Experience with social media tools like Sprinkr
