Our client in San Jose, CA has asked for Aquent's help identifying a Community Manager on a contract basis. Please submit your resume straight away!

Location- San Jose
Duration- Contract, TBD
Hourly pay rate- DOE

Devise and execute strategic plan to educate, engage and retain influencers within certain interest categories and demographics, with the goal of building interactive communities.
Create engaging, locally relevant content across multiple social media channels and in a monthly newsletter, to grow audience and increase engagement.
Manage ongoing analysis and reporting of team social media and campaign performance data, shifting team tactics as needed.
Execute offline awareness/engagement events, including contests and co-marketing agreements.
Monitor, listen and respond to consumers in an engaging way.
Support multiple departments in achieving company goals.
Provide team expertise in all social media including Tumblr, Pinterest, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and blogs.


Skills Pre-requisites:
· Actively participates in a wide variety of social media activities such as blogging, community development and management, social bookmarking, commenting, etc.

Activities geared towards connecting users such as millenials, mothers and families

· Understanding of popular social networks – design, functionality, users
· Proficiency in PowerPoint and presentation tools and skills.
· Very high attention to detail.
· Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
· Experience developing and implementing tactical plans — including inspired and moderated solutions — that build and nurture online communities
· Demonstrated expertise in engaging and activating community groups
· Experience locating and engaging advocates within the community to foster dialogue
· Experience establishing metrics, gleaning community insights and reporting/recommending strategies that achieve marketing goals
· Excellent communication skills and creative writing skills

· Get your hands dirty every day getting to know the communities on each platform and interacting with promoters, sources of local events to be the information repository

· Minimum 3 years of experience with demonstrated success in social media community management, community building, social media strategies, and outreach.
· Undergraduate degree in communications, marketing, advertising, public relations, media studies, business and/or related fields.

Minimum qualifications:

Experience building and managing social media accounts for a brand
Experience planning, managing and executing events
Must be flexible, with the ability to multi-task and frequently adjust to changing priorities and timelines in a fast-paced working environment. Ability to work under tight deadlines with short turnarounds.

· Self-starter, constantly thinking proactively and identifying new opportunities.
· Project management and excellent organizational skills.
· Commitment to customer service and creating
· Proficiency with WordPress platform including entering new posts, adding images, SEO and publishing.

Education
BA/BS degree in a relevant discipline such as Communications, Marketing, Digital Media, PR or equivalent practical experience.
