Community Manager

We are searching for a Community Manager. You’ll be joining a fast-paced team that is striving to build a vibrant community around our new direct to consumer digital gaming service. To be successful, the Community Manager must have in-depth knowledge of games and
possess excellent communications skills. Please note: this position will require occasional weekend, evening and overnight shifts so flexibility in scheduling is critical.

Responsibilities

•Act as an advocate for the community and surface issues to the production team as
needed.
•Post to social and forum channels and engage in conversation with our followers.
•Work closely with the live support team to interact with consumers in real-time,
especially around new game releases.
•Work with the Customer Service team to help resolve community issues.
•Curate and moderate user comments and contributions.
•Develop relationships with fan sites and key influencers.
Qualifications and Skills
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•Bachelor’s degree and 1 or more years of experience in online communities, online journalism, online marketing, or equivalent.
•Strong passion for gaming and knowledge of game titles.
•Online community expertise from a user standpoint. Online gameplay experience a plus.
•Understands social media universe including YouTube, Forums, Twitter, Wikis, blogs, etc.
•Experience with successfully managing multiple projects and working directly with cross-functional teams.
•Self-motivated with strong work ethic.
